Charlotte Dennis is an artist from Austin, Texas, now living in Baltimore, Maryland. She creates illustrations and paintings inspired by families, friendships, nature, and clothing. She works mostly in watercolor, gouache, collage, ink, colored pencil, and acrylic.
Charlotte grew up drawing and making things, taking art classes at school and after school, and loving the picture books her family would buy or borrow to read together. She holds a BFA in Studio Art and BA in Feminist Studies from Southwestern University. She also learned a lot through teaching children’s art classes at studios in Austin and in Sydney, Australia.
